The Therapeutic Spiral Method (TSM) is a clinically modified form of psychodrama that has been specifically designed to support people affected by trauma. It offers clear structures, interventions, and templates to direct the healing potential of psychodrama into safe and contained ways. In addition, the concept of the TSM can be adapted to other experiential therapy methods like gestalt, constellation work, or art therapy.
The TSM was founded more than 20 years ago by Dr. Kate Hudgins (TEP) and Francesca Toscani (M.Ed., TEP) and has been improved and refined ever since. Now it integrates the findings of Ego State therapy and neurobiology into the psychodramatic process.
Axel Eichel, M.Sc., is TSM-Trainer, Healing Practitioner for Psychotherapy, and Psychodrama Practitioner. He works in a practice in Berlin and teaches TSM trainings.
